Why Men? The reason is simple - men face a mental health crisis in this country. Shocking statistics from the UK show that suicide is the biggest killer of men under 50. Men are also less likely to seek help - only 36% of referrals to NHS talking therapies come from men.
Culturally, men are still expected to be 'strong silent types' who don't show vulnerability. But bottling up emotions is not a healthy way to live. Left unaddressed, mental health problems can severely damage lives, careers and relationships. As a society, we need to support men to open up.
My role is to provide a safe, judgement-free space for men to talk in confidence. You don't need to struggle alone. Counselling can help you understand yourself better, handle stress, improve relationships, boost self-esteem and get relief from anxiety or depression.
